INTRO: Welcome to Yoga CDO

The whole idea of establishing a Facebook page and a blog site started over dinner with a good friend and a fellow yogi from Cebu who was visiting Cagayan de Oro for a weekend getaway. We shared ideas and thoughts on how far her Yoga journey has gone for her and how “less” mine has (tsk… tsk… tsk…).

Being helpful as she always is, she implied that perhaps one of the reasons why I am less eager to continue further my yoga practice is because of the lack of a support group and more space conducive to practice yoga. She further added that many are interested in yoga in Cagayan de Oro. However, not many know where to begin their Yoga journey.

Everyone is welcome to practice yoga regardless of your skin color, physique, age, and social stature. Definitely, it is not just for those who can afford to pay fees or monthly dues to join yoga classes. Yoga is for everyone!

Currently, Cagayan de Oro city has its first and only Yoga studio and some gyms are offering yoga classes. However, a strong yoga community is not yet evident. I would like to see a community that goes beyond the confines of a yoga class – a community that shares their energy and good vibes as they practice yoga together.

No Man is an Island! I’d like to share my yoga journey with you as you would share yours to me. This FB Page and blog is not just mine, THIS IS OURS as a community.  So if you have any insights or ideas that you would like to share, do not hesitate to let me know. I’ll be glad to welcome articles, photos, links and event postings as long it is yoga related.
